This boat was designed by Jean-François André for his personal use with the project to reach Alaska to spend the winter. The main specifications were therefore: performance, durability, and comfort. Featuring a generous sail plan, this 15,30m sloop/cotre is equipped with a 2 tons sword lifting keel within a 2.5 tons ballast. The choice to build this kind of boat instead of a dinghy has been dictated by the desire to retain a limited movement. A deep draft as well as a large master beam can support a 140 m² sail plan, a key to performance.
