The Cordova40 is a sailing dinghy which's length is sligthly less than 12m and there are therefore many benefits related to this size. Indeed, the cost of a 12m (and more) boat increase dramatically (certification, insurance and berth). This led us to develop a boat with a large interior volume, because of the lack of skirt, making it a true 12m (volume of a 13m). The skirt was replaced by a hinged platform. Being removable, it isn't part of the length of the boat. Similarly, the pulpit is articulated and stands up with the davit and the anchor by the spinnaker halyard.
