The aluminum sailboats from the new construction site « BATWELL », were until now built by the company E.C.N. of Jean-François ANDRE. A dozen of boats such as the Patago, Cachoeira, Tourmaline etc. were built. My encounter with Jean-François in 2009, allowed us to share our passion for aluminum constructions and sailing : Jean-François architect, builder and navigator around the world, known in the background of the « long trip sailboats » and myself, Bernard Minguet, NAVALU professional aluminum boat builder, with many realizations in the shellfish background, underwater, port, fire, and passenger works, etc. Our aluminum construction experience is recognized by the professional and boating background. Thus, Jean-Francois wanted to stop the construction part, but continue naval architecture by creating new plans for sailboats. I wanted to increase my range of aluminum constructions. The conclusion of a partnership has enabled us to discover new ideas, different working methods and to move forward in the improvement, finition and cost of our range of sailboats.
